Thanks everyone. I am shooting a bear grizzly at 50 pounds that my dads friend gave to me. I had completely missed 3 does in the couple of hunts leading up this one. I think I was getting real jacked up and ripping the string way back past my ear. That’s what it felt like anyway lol. I haven’t been that excited that many times in two weeks of archery season ever. Finally I settled down and worked on my mind while shooting a little more. I was in a stand that I had set up for my compound last season and didn’t think to trim the branches above me. I started to think how the Fck am I gonna shoot with all these limbs in the way. 2 minutes later he came out and ran from my right. I drew back , he kept running, I let down with about ten sticks pinched in between my string and limbs while he stopped ten yards to my left. It was a Christmas miracle how I got untangled and he didn’t leave. I drew back again hit him perfect. Watched him tip over 40 yards from my stand. One of my favorite hunts ever. I’ve learned more about deer hunting in one archery season with a recurve than in 12 years of hunting with a compound.
