Hey guys. I've made a few self bows now and my daughter needs a new bow. I'm thinking about trying a composite. So big picture, what's the learning curve jumping from a self bow to a laminated bow?
On one hand it seems more complicated but then again it almost seems like it would be easier.
It obviously will be more complicated with the glue up and possibly a form I would assume but on the other hand as far as carving out shapes I don't really have to work with the individual idiosyncrasies of the woods so much.
I think I need a form, a hot box, and standard bow tools. Anything else?
should I just get set up to do it or should I buy a bingham's kit? What options are out there?
Thanks for the help guys I love this site.
