Easton FMJ for 40# set up

Preparing for bare shaft tuning.  Wanting to shot FMJs.  Sarting with a full length 500 FMJ ; 125gr field point; 75gr brass insert
Any comments will be appreciated!!

Is it 40# at 28"? Are you pulling a full 28" or longer?

I would think a 500 is still pretty stiff for that poundage and depending on the shelf/side plate depth and style of bow.

Not near enough info to give you any kind of real answer, but those will more than likely too stiff if the 40# is at your DL.

The bow is a Hoyt Satori with 19in riser.  The dr wt with the satori's is based on a 21in riser.  My dr length is approx 27 inches.

Only the bow can really tell you--- through tuning.  That said i believe you will find 600 s very tunable for your bow.  If you have 500s and they are too stiff w your chosen point weight move your strike plate in and or get some 600s.  Take your time when bareshafting.

I was using a 478gr arrow-45# I draw 28

I'd say you will be pretty close being a past center cut bow. They are way less picky about arrow spine. If it won't shoot them I personally would look at some heavier points before I would buy new arrows that cost $150 a dozen.
