Hi Doc:
As my name states, it's been a while. Used to be here as Tacobobbo a couple years ago. But, I never got the code for change and got locked out and couldn't get back on. Finally, figured out to use my wifes email address. Duh!
So, I wanna give you a bit of encouragement if I can. About 6 years ago all the injuries in my back finally forced me to retire early ( and not medically). Figured maybe a couple years of recupe would allow me to go back to work.
6 months after retiring I had a massive heart attack. Killed 1/3 - 1/2 my heart, so no returning to work.
Feb 2018 had a colonoscopy. They found some polyps and were able to remove a couple, but one was growing INTO the colon wall. Next morning, I started bleeding horribly. Lost almost TWO qts of blood before making it to hospital.Of course it was Super Bowl weekend.
Anyway, they did a biopsy on the polyp they couldn't remove and found it to be cancerous and that surgery would be required. Figured they'd go back in with the scope remove the polyp and sew me up.
NOPE! Had to remove part of my colon and all the lymph nodes attached. Well, while I was recuping in the hospital, my surgeon called me and said cancer was in the lymp nodes too, and I was already stage 3 and had to start chemo in about 3 weeks. Well, crap. So, started chemo and after about 3 or 4 weeks, I developed severe blood clots where the surgery was and one of them had migrated to my aorta, so they put me on blood thinners to break up the clots. After getting home, I noticed my neuropothy starting in my hands and feet. Got so bad I couldn't walk or hold anything in my hands and they hurt horribly. Also had other issues, but not as severe.
Well, the reason I'm writing is to say hang in there. DON'T get discouraged. God is in control. And I believe there are two major ( many minor) reasons why people go thru these times.
1): To TEST your faith.
2): To INCREASE your faith.
Dude, I know you HAVE been and I'm encouraging you to continue keep your eyes on the Lord. HE doesn't put us thru anything we can't handle and overcome. And you ARE an encouragement to others so keep it up. The Lord loves you and will NEVER leave or forsake you.
Bob
