Hello, thanks for letting me join, my primary interest is in medieval hunting, I’ve taken small and large game with a medieval crossbow and want to do the same with a a self bow.
Trouble is I know little and less about it, looking forward to learning.

There is a fair number of members who shoot English Longbows as well as other ancient style bows (as well as hunt with them), so I think you will be able to get lots of help. I have never hunted with my English bow, but have been considering it for several years. Keep us informed on your progress, it should be a fun journey.
