DECISION, 16th Howard Hill Classic, 2020
« on: April 29, 2020, 09:32:51 PM »
Folks, the reason I have started this new thread concerning this year's Howard Hill Classic is everyone can now find out information without having to scroll down through the other thread.

The decision for having the HH Classic the 5th, 6th & 7th of June will be made sometime between May 15th & May 18th, 2020.

Me and my friends who help, as well as the Park are a GO.  The only hold up is the State of Alabama, with a small amount of a gathering of people allowed at this time.

If that doesn't change enough, and I personally don't think it will, I'll be canceling the HH Classic for the first weekend in June.

NOW, there is an option I have looked into, and that is rescheduling the Howard Hill Classic for July 10th, 11th & 12th, 2020.

I've checked the dates with the Park and they're on board as well.

I'll add more to this shortly, BUT, your thoughts please.

Eleven days before the decision is made to either have, cancel or reschedule the Howard Hill Classic.

Let's hope for the best decision will be made, it is, however, just an Archery Event.

If EVERYONE is responsible and the State of Alabama lets it happen, it will.

Mississippi Governor just relaxed more restrictions stating the state is quickly approaching the point were “the cure is worst then the disease”.

Gathering still at 20 and less though.

If NFL can start pre season and full season with fans you can be sure a outdoor archery shoot can happen without much to get in a kerfuffel about!

Gottta have this shoot. Only 46 cases of the Virus in Bibb County. No reason not to have this shoot, none.

Great, see you 1st Weekend of June.

Look at the woman from Texas. They wanted her people to die of hunger . . .  She Opened up, shes a folk hero in US of A now.

Terry you have a chance at the same fate. The man who said "Archery is Life or Death, It shall be Life" shoot em if you got em.

Thanks Terry for the effort to make this happen! I'm probably going to miss this one (if June especially) due to some immune disorders I have. Frankly, with the people coming from all over parts of the country; you have to assume there is a risk. That said, I hope you can have the shoot and everyone has a good time!

Terry
Just came from the Buck Hollow shoot today. About 150 shooting there while I was there. No issues at all. Folks spaced out, to pay, at stakes, in groups, all spaced. No issues I saw anywhere. Folks were all talking they are itching to shoot. In fact they had folks from GA and AL up in Tenn for a 2hr 28 target 3d shoot. Very cool. Kids in kids groups, older folks in small pair groups mostly.

We need to move on and get these 3D's rolling. Lots of easy ways to even have vendors, just limit tent entrance numbers (in one way out the other). Its way easier than Jerk Mart or Piggly Wiggly for sure. great time great weather. Folks want to get out and spend some their Virus money on Archery I reckon.
