I started using micro-nocks a few years ago when Lancaster started sending them to people along with orders for Gold Tip carbon shafts. Evidently they wanted people to try them out. Well, it worked, I was curious, and after putting a dozen on and trying them out, I decided I liked them better. I'm not exactly sure why I like them better, I’m not sure it was less finger pinch, but I liked them well enough that I ordered them instead of regular nocks the next time I needed some more nocks.
Now a couple of years later, I find that the micro-nocks have a tendency to crack after continued use. This worries me because over the years I have had nocks blow up, causing what amounts to a dry fire. Looking back in my stash of nocks, I found a plastic bag of what I’ll call mini-nocks that I think Lancaster sent me by mistake one time, that are slightly larger than the micro-nocks: 7/32” vs 5/32”. I swapped those out for the micro-nocks I’m currently shooting, and liked them just as well. Because of the increased size, I hope they will be more resistant to cracking.
