Rain Gear---polypropolene
« on: April 18, 2008, 12:32:00 PM »
Is rain gear made from 100% polypropolene quiet?  Need to get some rain gear and it needs to be quiet, but not familiar with the material, at least by name.  Thanks.

Don't know what it is made of but my Sitka gear downpour jacket is the best i've ever had.  It's kind of pricey, but is very light weight & fairly quiet compared to all the other stuff i've had.  i don't sweat underneath it all either.  You can get it in camo, loden green, or black.

I have some from frog togs and they are made of polypropylene. They're nice rain wear and quiet...but they could be quieter. And I am not positive on this one since its still in question on how deer see. But they are highly IR reflective. I had walk past my IR trail cam and they showed up as pure white.
