Predator Arrow Selection
«

I have recently acquired a predator recurve that I absolutely love. I have switched to a dacron string and it has became very quiet. However, I am struggling with tuning. Anyone have any suggestions for the best arrow choice for this bow. I draw 26" and get 45# from the bow. i will shoot a 28 - 28.5" arrow. I have 1916, 2016,2018,2114 and 2115 arrows on hand. My favorite broadhead is a 135 gr. Zwickey w/ a 43 gr. adapter. That gives me a 175-180 gr. head. Any suggestions?

I would start with the 2016, but the 1916 will be in the running, too. Start with them a little long and trim them until they tune perfectly, either thru paper or bareshaft.

I have a similar set-up. Try the 2114 at 28 with the 175 grain head. 2016's bareshaft great at 28 inches with a 145 grain head. Like Fletcher said, start'em long and trim a little at a time.

Hot Hap,
Yes, I am still in P.Hill. Have been all my life and probably always will be. I see no reason in leaving "God's Country." How are you doing? I have move from shop class into administration. Still looking at getting a chance to build another bow with a student again. Thanks for all the advice on tuning.
Ron
