Sanding belts
« on: October 10, 2020, 04:47:11 PM »
I am looking for sanding belts for metal in size 4x48 inches, fine grit. I can’t find much over here. Does anybody know where to find? Thanks.

I did a search on the sites where I buy abrasives from and I can’t find any belts that are 4” by 48”. All the 48” belts seem to be 6” wide.

The big auction site may have some too....

I guess I didn’t look far enough. Thanks Kenny. I bookmarked the site. You can’t have too many suppliers.

Rather than AO I would go with these, they are worth the extra money.

Yeah... From what I understand you want Zirc for metal... If you can find 6"x48" over there it is easy enough to just rip 2" off...  I do it all the time on my 48" sander... I rip off about 1/2 to 3/4" off the belt so when it wanders it doesn't mess with my rub collar...

Being in Europe you might try the following link, where you can customize belts to your own measurements:
