Bear Little Bear
« on: November 01, 2020, 05:19:39 PM »
I came across and older Bear Little Bear bow and it's cleaning real nice. Does anyone know the specs for brace height and string length. Unfortunately, the weight and serial numbers were sanded off by previous owner. I'd like to set it up and carry it with me when I go to the local range in case one of the kids shows an interest in shooting a stick bow. Thank you.
One stick, one string and an arrow I'll fling!

I just looked at the one I have and it is marked 15# at 24”; 48” AMO.  I took the old (emphasis on old) string off I have on it and it measured at 43 1/2 inches.  I strung it up for the first time in 5-6 years and brace shows 8” from deepest part of throat of grip to the string. I don’t think you could go wrong with a 44” string and you could twist it up to increase brace if needed.

Thank you very much. This will give a good starting point.
