Missed weight, BIG TIME!!
« on: September 21, 2020, 09:17:32 PM »
I was able to salvage the riser from this bow when I messed up a couple weeks ago, however the poundage came out almost 20#’s light! :dunno:
I used the stack formula from my KennyM design that puts me around 50#’s. I new changing the design would alter the poundage but I didn’t think it would be this far off! I still have some final sanding and then the finish and I’m setting at about 29#@28”. Well, at least my six year old got a new bow out of the deal. :biglaugh:

You add another layer of glass to either the back or belly depending on your form.  What weight you hoping for.

Nice lookin bow. What did you use for the black that is up against riser under the tapers and the outer black glass? Did you put that in at glue up or add to riser beforehand? i really like that look.
...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......
