EW Bateman Cordovan face with divider. They are super slick and for me I get a good clean release. I have 2 still in packages and 2 a use the oldest being 7 years old 1,000's upon 1,000s of shots still works perfect. Treat the face with pure Beeswax and they last FOREVER.

I make my own tabs. I use a soft leather with a close grain rather than the harder cordovan leather than many make. I back it with a rubber membrane which floats behind the finger area but is welded to the leather which is folded and clamped around the edge of the tab closest to the base of the fingers. I size the slot to perfectly clear the shaft/nock. The leather is shot in first, then I rub a special wax into the leather, then apply a soft light flame to push the wax into the leather which is then buffed by hand on a coarse woven cotton fabric until a satin gloss is obtained. Three holes are drilled for TWO leather thongs which encase my middle and ring fingers. These are opened and closed with two cordlocks. Two thongs means that the tab resists twisting on release so that contact with the shaft and nock in the groove is eliminated. The softer leather allows me to feel the string well. But the heat/wax treatment allows a smooth release. I size mine to fit my fingers width, and about 1/16 inch past my ring and index finger on the sides which allows the fingers protection from the string. My tabs are "shorties." They cover just enough of my fingers to avoid the string contactin the tips upon release. I dont know how to post pics, but pm me and I will provide you with my phone number and then I can text you a couple pictures. Maybe you'll try making them.

Bateman here to. Reasonable price and last forever. I don’t really care for the elastic strap they use and always replace it with an o-ring. Kinda like the old Neet ring tab.

Black Widow tab user for 50+ years.  Have tried others but circle back to theirs.  Plenty of padding, which you can remove if it is too much, good adjustable velcro finger attachment, reasonable price, clean arrow release.  A big dislike of other tabs is the finger attachment leaves much to be desired.

You really might look at the Saunders Pak-Tab.  You assemble it in layers to your preference.  It has a slick, tough face, and will protect the fingers better than many others.

Have a couple Rick Barbee tabs that I really like.  The nylon surface is very smooth and my release/accuracy has improved quantumly.  Always have a backup in my Bison Gear pack.  Really need to get some more for the out years.

I generally use what is on sale at the time I need a new tab. But most often, I get a calf hair model, because they are smooth and cost effective. I prefer the ones with the spacer between the index and middle finger, but it is not a crucial factor. When gripping the string, these tabs are soft and don't interfere at all with my grip.

I’ve had one of the PAC Tabs for quite a few years, never opened the package. Maybe I’ll finally give it a try.

I use Bateman and Black Widow split finger tabs.  I tend to use the BW tabs for target shooting and the Bateman's for hunting.  I like the index and middle finger protection tabs of the BW, but the three layers sometimes get a bit out of alignment, requiring a bit more time to get it on the string properly.  No problem when target shooting, but the two-thickness Bateman is a tad more trouble free so that's why I use it for hunting.

I've recently switched from shooting split to mostly 3-under.  The split finger tabs still work just fine.  That being said, I would like to try a three-under tab.  Would trade some split finger for 3-under tabs if anyone is interested.

Been using the Eichler tab for several years. I used to make my own with cow hide, but this one has been working well so haven’t switched.

Use Rod Jenkins tabs I customize. Use the split finger for hunting, more control, wear inside a flap shooting mitten if I need to. Deer or beaver skin backing and cordovan on string. Just like em.

I have an entire round of cordovan if someone needs it. Worth 80 bucks but 40 shipped. Pm if you can use it. This will save you a lot of cash. I just cannot get cordovan to work for me.

I shoot a Saunders Pak-Tab. It’s the older version before they changed it to a stiffer plastic(which IMHO ruined it). It is impervious to water and slicker than owl snot. The reason I prefer it is because I shoot better with it than any other tab or glove I have ever used.
