I’m not from KY but I’d agree with hunting on military installations. There are plenty of opportunities and usually some good deer. I’m stuck in VA for the year on military orders so I hunt Ft. Belvoir. Three deer this year with the longbow and some good encounters with nice bucks (which I couldn’t shoot at the time due early season! They also space out the hunters so each area doesn’t get too crowded.

At least I'm not the only one that's been looking.
Hope Kentucky has good turkey hunting, and, what else is big?

Deer, Turkey, black bear, elk (lottery only), lots of foul and small game. No pigs to mention...KYDFWS has done a good job of keeping them out.

On pigs...they use to let everyone know when and where populations popped up to hunt them out...they keep it quite now and trap them out (more efficient/effective)

It seems strange that Elk are getting around again. We had a season in Wisconsin.
I think they gave away under 10?

Turkey will run you over in the "great north woods" now!
30 years ago you never saw one. :saywhat:

Glad your livin the good life.

Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (member) and many states Wildlife agencies have been doing an assume job of restoring Elk populations East of the Mississippi.  I will be applying to two of those lotteries in 2021 - Kentucky and Pennsylvania.  You never know!
