I don't have a Blackhawk, but have similar Bob Lee takedown recurves.  They are top notch; none better in my opinion. I have two that have the Stabi-Lock, and have had others that didn't have it.  The Stabi-Lock is a great system for limb attachment.  It adds some weight to the riser, which I considered an advantage, but some would not consider to be an advantage.  Their basic 4 bolt limb attachment is already arguably the most secure limb fastening system in the business.  Some might consider it overkill. Frankly, I will probably only use the Stabi-Lock a handful of times in the life of the bow, so for me, it is really unnecessary.  Unless you see a great need to disassemble the bow frequently, I don't think you need it.  OTOH, if you don't mind spending the extra money, go for it!

Hi Jarrod,
I don't know if you remember me, but we shot together at Denton 2 years ago. I hope all is well with you.
You have one of the prettiest Black Widows I've ever seen!  I figured that bow would be your "one and only" for eternity!  But then again, I almost forgot the fact that half the fun of this sport is owning and shooting all the amazing bows out there.  If you take the plunge with a new Bob Lee, let us know how you like it.
