Dark archer
« on: April 23, 2008, 08:24:00 PM »
I've had this bow for about 6 months give or take a few and have shot alot of critters with it but this bow shoots so well for me. I walked out the back yard with it and 3 arrows and shot my Turkey target from about 25 yards and this is the result. Man I love this little bow.

Great shooting.  I'd love to try a lefty out some day so that I could compare it to my arroyo.

Tim, I'm not too familiar with the Dark Archer. How long is your bow?

Sweet bow! I had a Bob Lee that I sold when I switched from right to left hand and I was bummed to give it up. I would really like to get my hands on a Dark Archer for turkey hunting!

I have one of Bob Lee's " hunter ", it's the same way, mine is 56" my riser is 15" instead of the standard 19", mine is also a three-piece takedown, with a Eagle Flight quiver, it's the four arrow quiver, with the deer foot on the quiver.  I also have deer feet on the top limb on the backside, I'm taking it to a class, hunter safety class, this Saturday I was asked to present it, showed off I guess, the classes is about 30 people.  Some have bow hunted before, and some haven't.  It will be a good opportunity, to show how great traditional archery is at this time.

I will also be passing out cards with TRADGANG.COM on them.  The guys that have never hunted before, I have already passed on to them in the class how they are missing out on what God has created, and told them about how much detail they will see in the birds that land in the branches in their tree stands.

I think that Dark Archer would be a good choice for anyone, it is 58" I know Brooks from double bull, has one, he showed it to me last time I was at the company.  He realy likes that one.  After seeing his, I ordered my "Hunter", and Bob Lee and his son Rob are really great to work with.

Good looking bow right there, great looking group!  You should shoot it more, though, and maybe think about storing it inside.  Looks like some mushrooms are growing on there!     :bigsmyl:

I have to agree 1000%. Bob Lee makes some mighty fine bows. I have the HUNTER T/D, 62"s, 48#'s and the DARK ARCHER, 58"s, and 50#'s. Both are silent, fast and smooth. Got 3 does with the HUNTER last season and can't wait to try my D/A in the woods this year. Rob Lee and Sandy are nice people to deal with. They will do everything they can to help you.
