Ideas for a moose hunt?
« on: April 24, 2008, 11:15:00 PM »
I'm finally going elk hunting with a group of traditional archers in Colorado this fall, and after seeing how everything is coming together, it just become a regular thing for me every year or two.  However there is another animal I've always wanted to bowhunt that I would like to try for after my elk hunt:  MOOSE!

I'm not picky about which subspecies but I would love to hear some suggestions or experiences about locations and/or particular outfitters any of you may know about so I can start rolling things around in my head and saving up.  I'm not budget shopping, but don't want to go overboard either.  I just want an enjoyable hunt where I will have a decent chance of getting into some moose.  All suggestions and experiences shared are welcome and thanks in advance!

Good hunts!

Take a look at United Guide and Outfitters (Trad Gang Sponsor)  He runs an all traditional camp in British Columbia and from what I hear it's a great hunt.
I don't have personal experience I can relate to you - YET!  I'm booked for late September this year and can't wait!
