Bow weight?
« on: March 13, 2021, 04:39:35 PM »
I am doing an experiment of sorts using a bow form. I want to do a glue up with just wood.(no glass). Was wondering how much weight .460 of maple hickory and osage would give.
I measured at the fade and I dont know if that is correct either.

Doing this for my own understanding.  Dont want to waste good parts on my mistakes which I'm sure will happen. Thnx

Guess I should mention  it's for 64 inch.
Kennys form.

If the form is designed for a glass bow then I would expect using all wood will result in a failure of some sort, usually a lot of set.
