Paul was a great influence on me even though I never met him. I read an article decades ago about how he trimmed the lower 1/3 off a Bear Weather Rest to get it lower to the hand. He liked the rest because he shot vanes out of his Silvertip. This was because he wanted water proof fletching on his arrows. I have shot the Bear Weather Rest on my recurve specifically because of him. I have often looked down at the bow/rest combo in my hand and thought of him.
