Getting Ready
« on: February 19, 2021, 05:20:44 PM »
This past year was a bust for sure. Due to covid, I, like so many others, missed most of the 3D shoots and similar outings. Then when bow season came along, my wife broke her hip, and I missed most of the hunting season.. But things are better now. I have now had both covid vaccine injections. Also, I have had the cataracts fixed in both eyes. Therefore, I am planning to get out more this year. I'm really looking forward to it. I sure hope everybody else is good to go for this spring. I'll see some of you on the range.

You’re ready to get it now! I didn’t realize I’d miss the 3D shoots so much, but I did. Here’s to a better, more fun year!

Ooops! Not so quick. After the second eye surgery we discovered that I have Macula Degeneration. It seems to have come on literally over a matter of days. I will go on April Fool's Day for a shot in the eyeball. Unfortunately, betadine is used, and I am allergic to it. We'll see how that goes. Plus, just today, the surgeon says I will have back surgery in June, which looks like about a nine week recovery. So far 2021 has started out to be "the year of the procedure". Now, it is a question of trying to get ready by next deer season. Sounds like a busy summer coming on. Sorry to vent to you guys, but who else would better understand the anxious need to get ready for the upcoming fall bow season?

Will say a prayer for recovery and healing.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Sam, I hope all works out for you. I kinda feel your pain. 3D season starts here in Jan-Feb. I was all set until I needed two A Fib procedures in a month. Trying now to figure out a lighter weight bow by Friday. I seemed to have lost strength this past month. No, getting old an’it for the weak.
