Hmmmm. What is it you don't like about the Kifaru? I had a 6-person Tepee and found it a very nice tent. Condensation was an issue in the summer, but that will be a problem with most any tent that doesn't have screen windows. No longer need the size of a 6-person so downsized to a Sawtooth. Will give it some field testing this summer before my western trip in the fall. Certainly light and easy to set up, and can cut poles in the woods to lessen the load.
The Kuiu is roughly the same footprint as the Sawtooth, just a bit smaller, but just a little over 4 feet high. The sawtooth is 6 1/2 feet tall at the tallest point. I've packed and camped in tarp tents about the size of the Kuiu. Just don't like the low height. Always crawling around on my hands and knees. I expect condensation could also be an issue with it. However, I found condensation to be an issue in the moist mid-west. Never a problem when camping in the drier mountains of the west. It is lighter and a lot less expensive than a Kifaru though. The Sawtooth has a stove jack, while the stove jack in the Kuiu is an add on, but I expect much less expensive than the Kifaru.
Afaid I'm not of much help. Good luck on your search.
