does'nt bother me at all, I am not the kind of person to worry about the details, if it shoots well and I can hit with it that's all that matters, my main focus is hunting with a bow. If I started to take some nice animals with a certain bow and it became "special" to me I may think of getting my name put on it.

Its just some letters.  Who really cares.  Actually, one way to look at it... think of all the mojo you got when you got that bow at a whole lot less price than whoever's name is on it.

See... good luck already.  Like Shawn said.. put a sticker on it.

I just picked up a used bow that has the original owners name on it.  I took interest in this thread the other week and was considering placing a sticker over the name.

Today I decided to see if I could track down the original owner.  I Googled the name and found someone with the same name on another forum.  I joined the forum and PM'd him to see if it had been his.  He said it was and we have a great phone conversation.

I won't be covering up the name of a new friend.

I have a bow with "Denny Sturgis, Sr." name on it, being from Michigan it makes the bow more valuable to me than if was name-less...

I've only got a few bows and one with someone elses name on it. No problems w/ it whatsoever. I figure once I pay for it, its mine. Besides, the handwriting is too little for me to read w/out my glasses and I don't need glasses to shoot. Actually would like to meet the guy I bought it from some day!

I had the same thought when I got Ben Graham, of Hummingbird Bows to make me a longbow.
He asked me if I wanted my name on the bow.
I told him no, but make sure that he signed his name on it.

You know that that was the last guy to put his name on it since the last time the bow was refinished. I saw a bow autographed by Fred Bear ten years after he died - I guess that makes it a Supernatural Kodiak.

Here is a thought... Why not add your name and then the dates you owned it.  Then when it is passed on or purchased elsewhere the buyer will know the history and maybe add their name and dates.  Kinda like the Little Delta Bow, people have an idea of its lineage.

I had my middle name put on the last one I ordered, most folks call me by my middle name Arron. Somehow or another my new bow has "custom built for "Arrow" on it! Oh well, I like it all the same!

I really dont like the Black Widow stickers.  I would rather have the name in plain sight.  Less gaudy.
