Any tips or dos and don'ts for finishing Spectraply?
It's really kinda different than anything I've worked with before. So far not my favorite stuff but I'm still ready to like it.

I've never used Spectraply, but I would guess you need some sanding sealer. I used Minwax sanding sealer on a wenge riser and it worked perfectly under the VHT satin.

I'm up for anything that works on wenge! I'm picking some up tomorrow.

I am spraying ml Campbell’s KRystal finish. I spray two coats then lightly sand with 320. Then 2 more coats.

It is easy to finish, sands easy, and you can pretty much spray anything on it. It's just yellow birch dyed and glued up.

Seems the last I got was a little quality. I usally base coat with lacquer then several coats of Krystal dull on the riser part. only a couple of coats on the glass.

If I ever have any questions about how something is going to finish out, its gets a coat of Vinyl sealer first.
The stuff if tough as nails and sticks like glue.
