According to this, a seamstress/tailor will need four hides to make you a coat.

You can always buy your own pattern from one of the many online mountain man shops (ie: The Possibles Shop, Track of the Wolf, etc.) and make your own.  I’ve made my own from these patterns and it really is an easy weekend project, but like achigan mentioned above, depending on the size of your hide, you may need more than just one to complete your coat.

G Fred Asbel is a sponsor here and they make wool jackets, maybe they would do it for you?

1 hide would likely make a really cool vest!

your gonna need 4 skins to make a jacket/shirt, i have made two, and leggings/chaps. thinking of making another this winter. its pretty easy to do if you know how to sew, which any mountain man can do.

i dyed these dark brown.

Joey, we have one here where I live.  My girls are heavily involved in theater, and she has done any work we needed on wardrobes and costumes, not to mention hemming pants jeans and dresses.  She has tapered all my Spring Green Predator and Fall Brown western shirts you see me in my hero pics.

Let me know if I can help in any way..... would love to see you again brother.
