Who Makes 50's style recurves (Pics)
« on: April 29, 2008, 10:46:00 AM »
Hello Guys who all make 50's style recurves I have some old bows forms from the 50s that I picked up from an older man who made bows in the 50s. I just like to see some bow pics.
Thanks   :archer:

Let see some pictures of your forms Cody!

Good find for sure, should we be looking for some build-alongs in the near future? Tim

I'll secong the job JD does at Whisperstik, and add a couple. Acadian Woods and Miami Valley both make a nice 50's style. Here's my Appalachian Elk Mtn. static, an Acadian Woods, and a Miami Valley (T to B)

Cody,  The man next to you in your avitar makes a pretty fine shooting 50's style recurve.  It's called the Super Shrew Scout.    :D

Cody, The Shrew Scout is a great bow.  Also dont forget about Gregg Coffee.  He makes a 50's Bear Grizzley replica with the static tips.  He calls it the Grizz.

Cody, Ron King Fox Archery makes the Breed in that style. I have a Takedown he made me a 58" bow that is my blind bow. They are very nice.  www.foxarchery.com   Frank

The bow to the left is a McCullough 59er, a refined '59 Kodiak repro. It has become a favorite of mine, I have another on order.
