Hi Gang...a new member here, but an old-timer in traditional archery...been shooting tradbows and tradbows ONLY for nearly 68 years now (oh, there were years here and there, when I didn't have access to a bow or place to shoot it...wars do inconvenience us, don't they?)
I have cut back a bit, only own four bows now: two Brownings, both 35#ers, a "Prep" and a "Rover"; plus a Bear 76er @55 lbs that is repainted in camo and was my main rough hunting bow. Sold my Bear Kodiak Magnum Grayling and Browning Nomad 52"s a couple of years ago, as the arthritis couldn't deal with 'em.
My last bow is one about which I have a question:
It's a little 48"/25#@26" recurve, aluminum/magnesium riser with solid glass limbs, that I bought sometime in the early 1960's for my boys. It came from the Boy Scout department of my local dept store, and was the 'official' Boy Scouts of America bow. This little bow did yeoman service for my sons for years, and tolerates a 27" draw. I sure would like to know the company that made it. Anyone know??
I'm gonna enjoy being a member of the TradGang!!!
