Just don’t do what I did, and let your buddy who owns a ranch talk you into going back to work as his Ranch Manager! As far as jobs go, it’s about as good as it gets, but man, I’m missing all the time I had for the 8yrs I was retired!!!

Congrats on the retirement , I’ve been retired for 3 years and loving it, the pay sucks but the hours are great. I pretty much lived in the woods hunting during our seasons.

Scroll down in the menu and look for Laredo Tusker Hunt.  There might be an opening.  Promises of a target rich ranch for javelina.

I believe there is an opening or two in the Laredo hunt. There is a week-one group and then a week-two group. I went last year and I am going again this year. There are javelina and tons of them. They are spooky and a challenge -- a great hunt.
