I can relate to your loss after losing my dad.  We had our differences certainly, but we had such great times hunting and fishing together.

It usually hits me hardest when walking back to the truck after the last hunt of the season.  I sure miss him.  It’s kind of like a black hole in your existence that never gets filled.

But I do find consolation in the fact that he is in a far better place. No more pain, no more anxiety,  after coming to peace with his maker.
Blessings to you, brother

Sorry to hear about your loss. My dad passed three years ago and there hasn’t been a single day he doesn’t cross my mind. I never feel closer to him than in the deer woods!

My Dad passed June 2018 and as I get a bit older am realizing just how smart that old man was.  Treasure the memories and mementos that you have.  I have a 30-30 and an old bone handle folder that he carried.
