Bear Super Kodiak 60'' one piece;
« on: December 25, 2021, 09:36:12 AM »
Just out of interest how does this bow compare to the Kodiak TD.
Has anyone got one and what is your opinion of the two.
Is the draw weight under or over what is stated one the bow at 45/50lb.
I have a Bear Grizzly and its 2.5lb over the stated draw at 28''
Merry Christmas Tradgang. :bigsmyl:

I have /had both . Mine were made late 90’s early 2000’s. Both FF capable. Both 55#’s @28”. The SK is 55#’s as marked. The SK lacks the extra physical weight of the TD which is fine for me. Both are center cut so not much difference in shooting, both use same arrows. The SK isn’t prone to annoying noises caused by the TD system. But these days there are reems of paper written about thos squeaks and groans. A little putzing around and the bow is noiseless.

I agree with M60gunner, on the similarities of the two bows, but I have had no issues at all with noise from the TD system.  My TD is an excellent shooting, quite bow.

I have three Super Kodiaks and five Kodiak Takedowns, and they shoot pretty much the same for me.  :archer2:  All of mine are in the 60# range. My Super Kodiaks are two 1972s and one 1997. My Kodiak Takedowns are 1984, 1989, 1996, 1997, and a 2016.
