Canada appears to be ready to drop covid test for entry
« on: March 15, 2022, 10:29:50 PM »
I saw the following info elsewhere (posted by Canadian bear guide)- good news for those hunters hoping to get after spring bears or summer fish.

"Our Tourism Association just sent out a memo to members that the Covid testing to get into Canada will be lifted within weeks. Suggests by end of month. No mention on unvaccinated."

I just talked a couple day's ago with our outfitter in Ontario. He said Vaccination requirement will stay in effect. Test dropping but you will still need to use the ArriveCan App he believes

I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

That's awesome news! I have a Mid May hunt with Stickflingers and that made the trip much easier!

I went salmon fishing in New Brunswick on the Miramachi River last October. Even though you had to test neg for Covid and fill out Arrive Canada form, it was no big deal to cross the border. I go fishing every fall and missing it for two years due to Covid was hard to take! Now it should be even easier to cross the border as you had to test neg within 48 hours of crossing...tippit

“I know, I should just put on a second mask, because I am obviously deficient in carbon dioxide.”

I'm not as skeptical as some, but to each his own. I certainly think you hit the bullseye with that comment, though, and not just about the second mask.  My doctor's assistant, with whom I’m not overly impressed, is concerned that my blood pressure reads higher than it should, and is sort of edging in the direction of increasing my blood pressure meds.  Funny thing, it doesn't read higher on my home blood pressure machine.  I think she either doesn't believe me or thinks I must have some cheap-a$$ blood pressure machine at home.  (I don’t lie and no).  But I was still puzzled until I read your comment.  I think that walking the block from my truck to the doctor's office with a mask on, and sitting there while I wait my turn, has increased my CO2 content enough to increase my blood pressure!  This could be easily tested, of course, by allowing me to make one visit without a mask, but of course it is more important to wear a mask than to test a theory.

vaccine still required but I bet the media will sing from the hilltops that Canada is 'open'!  :banghead:

Wait....didn’t y’all here. Covids over lol. We on to another crisis. Sure there’s still some sheep terrified of a virus with a 98% survival rate but when the vaccine mandate flopped Covid pretty much went away? Funny how that works. Gotta give Canada a little while to catch up though. Their socialist Utopia is a little slow on the uptake.

I thought this was a traditional archery site? I guess it's good you don't have to go through logistics of testing if you have a bear hunt in CD this spring....but c'mon guys...

And Larry Dean aka "pavan" maybe you want to check your facts a little..... "Pfizer owns Moderna and AZ".......tin foil hat much?

When is hunting season?
