That was me who asked. Been hunting w/ a longbow since I was a kid, but I'm new on this forum. I guess we re-discover something old every now and then and forget it was done before. We always called that a "Bludgeon Claw", but I guess you can call it whatever you like.

Not sure if they still make a "Tiger Claw" small game head. If you get your hands on one, remove the claw and sit it on top of your Bludgeon. You'll see how the pattern on the top of the Bludgeon matches the pattern of the claw to include the divit where the screw hole is located. You take a sharp knive and cut out the notches like the one shown in the picture and then the claw will drop in. Punch a hole through the center divit and screw the whole thing onto the Tiger Claw blunt. Not sure how old that is but it's been around awhile.

What makes the "Bludgeon Claw" good is that the Tiger Claw will penetrate and can easily be stuck in a tree when shooting squirrels. When you add the Bludgeon, it is less likely it will stick. The Bludgeon alone is great on rabbit but is weak on gray squirrel. Add the Tiger Claw and it becomes awesome on gray squirrel.

on my cedars i use spent shell caasings filled with lead to get to 160g, judos, rubber blunts

on my aluminums hex heads are phenominal! also use judos and rubber screw in blunts.

we do alot of stumping so i have a pretty big arsenal and like kill i have learned to judge pretty far away how rotten a stump is.
