Sage replacement limbs
« on: February 25, 2022, 12:32:21 AM »
I am currently shopping limbs for the samick sage. Is there any difference between the stock samick brand replacements, and the ones offered from southwest archery, or are they the same limbs with different labels? Thanks

I have a Sage Samick riser that I have Sage Journey limbs on. I know that Samick did make other named limbs that will interchange with the riser. I see them on ebay and other sale sites. I did a  search and numerous hits say the Southwest Spyder limbs will interchange with Samick Sage risers. Good luck and hope you find what you are looking for.

I have 40lb limbs currently, and am looking to get 45s. There have been a few people with quality complaints on the samick limbs about the lb ratings not being accurate and I was wondering if the alternatives are basically all just samick limbs made in the same factory with different branding, or if they are actually different limbs that happen to fit the sage riser. I ask because all the limbs I have found that do fit are advertised as a matte black glass with hard maple core no matter whose name is on the outside.

Don’t know the specific answer about the Southwest Archery question, but I will tell you that I bought an Old Mountain recurve back when they were dirt cheap.  I swapped the limbs from those and the limbs on my wife’s Sage and they were an exact fit.  The Old Mountain riser is just a little smaller and fit her hands better than the Samick.
