Anybody shooting a Habu Deathadder??
« on: February 26, 2022, 08:38:10 AM »
I am starting to look for a Habu Deathadder. Just wanted to see if anyone was still shooting one and what your thoughts are about them.
Thanks,
Chris

Sold mine a few years ago but the only reason I did was because of the length...I thought I wanted a shorter bow for ground blinds but I was wrong  :dunno:..wish I had it back at times...very smooth to my 29 inch draw and my son said same to his 30.5 draw...fast, stable, quiet all the traits that you would want...the only draw back I remember was the finish was so slick I had a hard time holding on to it  :knothead: hope that helps ya out  :wavey:

I shot one at a 3-D and was very impressed with the crisp snap and speed.  Gentleman had some experimental 2415 aluminums that shot very well from it at @65#@28 as I recall.  Merion was drawing 31"+, so the 2415 arrows worked very well for him full length.

There used to be a member here that did a lot of hunting with one. His member name was Wouldbeking as I remember he did very well with it and really liked it. He killed a lot of critters with it. Always liked his stories, wish he still posted here.
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

It is a great design. With the weight forward. Still cant believe Black Widow doesn't do a similar design. I think it would be very popular.

A freind of mine has two of them very nice bows, I think South Cox of Stalker Stickbows make something similar I think it's called the Apex,

Looks like it's the Vortex. That looks very nice and has the ability to go with recurve limbs as well. I will keep an eye out for one of them. Thank you
