Grizzly Instinct - Resurrected
« on: May 11, 2022, 10:26:47 AM »
I got some of the original run Grizzly Instinct heads.  They came out 190 grains instead of 175.  Right now I'm broadhead rich; Snuffer, VPA, Woodsman, Grizzly Instinct, Centaur, ACE, Zwickey 2 and 4 blade, and Magnus.  Have not had enough hunting opportunity to try them all.  GI are still available, but I don't hear allot about them.  Anyone have some performance stories and pics?

I got 9 or 10 Prototypes at the PBS banquet in Cincinnati, they flew good, and I had good luck hunting with them.  The weights varied a little but they were still developing the manufacturing process on the ones I had. I Shot three whitetail does with 190 grain heads out of my 58# selfbow Pigger.  Got a complete pass thru on all three deer with good, short blood trails.  I wouldn’t hesitate using them on any of the critters I hunt, including moose.

Like Blake, I had trouble locating them but haven’t looked for them in several years.  Hunter liked them , I believe he is still hunts with them.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Here's a doe a got with a 200 grain with a 125 grain adapter. They are pretty reasonably priced, and they are easy to sharpen and were easy to get on the adapter straight. This was from a 54 pound bow,and it went through and stuck in a tree.

So here's to news on Grizzly Instinct Broadhead both Wudstix and myself received calls from Sam from Grizzly Broadhead he said that they are having hard time keeping up with all the two blades orders so for now they are not making any Instinct broadheads. Sam said when they do he will let us know.

I will have to be judicious with what I shoot these heads at, probably big pigs only.  Have VPA as back-up but I really prefer the GI.

When I was looking for Instincts a few years back I couldn't find them anywhere either. I ended up going with the VPA's and have been very happy with them.

Yeah, all is good until you try to select a weight, then it won't let you.  Grizzly has said they are currently not making them.  I'm on the list!
