Help Identify Bowyer of a Couple Unmarked bows
« on: June 19, 2022, 12:52:48 PM »
As some of you know, I have a lot of bows. While awaiting my new total knee replacement surgery, I started going through some of my old bows that I haven't seen in years. Here are two beautiful bows made in the style of the early Bear brush nock bows. I believe they were made by the same bowyer. Markings are limited. If anyone recognizes these markings, I'd appreciate any help...tippit

The one is built by Mike St John ( or Johns) That's what the MSJ stands for. Nice looking bows  :shaka:

Cody,
The other bow has this on the other side of the riser. That's why I think the same person built both bows. Both bows are gorgeous and have never been shot. What can you tell me about Mike St John? I'm thinking about educing the weight one of the bows to 38#@28...tippit

Yes Sir that bow is also built by Mike. Mike built bows in the style of Bear bows of yesteryear. I think he's still alive. I don't know much about him. I just know the way he signed his bows. I've only seen a few of them in person. He also built some super nice copys of Bear takedown risers and limbs..

Where did Mike live? Thanks for your help. His bows are beautiful.
