arrow wrap/glue compatibility ?
« on: June 16, 2022, 06:40:07 PM »
I just acquired some Bloodsport carbon skinny shafts from a buddy and ordered some wraps from Onestringer, I am wondering what glue do you use with them? Thanks for any info.

I use Bohning fletch-tite and Saunders NPV.  Both work well on vinyl wraps.

I use Onestringer reflective wraps. I use Fletchtite Platinum for my feathers, and it works great.

Fletch tape and then a little drop of Fletch Tite Platinum at the leading and tailing edge of each feather where they contact the shaft.

Best of luck to you!  :archer2:

I am been using One Stinger wraps for over 15 years and Fletch Tite Platinum has made its job. Never lost a single feather.

I've been using Gorilla Glue superglue and superglue gel with good results. No issues so far.

Anyone try the fleching tape?
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Tape works, use it when I have to replace a feather. Otherwise I use either NPV glue or fletch tite.

Gorilla super glue blue cap.  Works very well with wraps--- never had an feather come off using it.

I don’t use wraps personally but did for a while and for my kids arrows a long time. Fletch tite never once was a problem.

Super glue binds great to the wraps and makes your fletching job extremely fast since it sets in seconds.  I don't like super glue unless using a wrap.

Thanks guys, I normally don't use wraps, but with these skinny shafts I don't have anything on hand to plug the shaft to dip them.  I'm going to look and see what I can find for the future.  I have some blue cap gorilla glue, so I'm going to give that a go when my wraps show up.

I wrap all my own arrows with homemade reflective.
I use gorrila glue blue cap.
I wipe my wraps in accelerator and use primer on the bases of my vanes(ff360s and trad vanes) no primer for feathers.
This process makes for a really solid bond.

I have been a happy taper for years but opened a couple of boxes of arrows that had been stored not long ago and saw some things that I didn't care for, so I am back to gluing. Obviously fletch-tite works great but mine had set up in the tube so I bought a bottle of Loctite Ultra Control Gel and it works great on wraps as well as setting up quickly.
