As we all are getting ready for deer season, it is time to once again remind everybody to watch out for Mr. Noshoulders. This came to mind due to an article in Georgia Outdoor News magazine. A fellow in Morgan County, just a couple of counties over from me, ran into a snake while checking on a stand. The interesting thing is he was 20 feet up in the tree when he realized he was face to face with a three feet long Timber Rattler in his stand. Fortunately, the snake was very docile, and the hunter got him out of the stand and did not get bitten. That is a good reminder to all of us to beware. Keep your eyes open and wear snake boots. Otherwise, you may wind up peeing your pants, or worse. Good hunting!
