No man is required to explain his reasons for hunting or for his decision to step back. As time goes by, a lot of guys have to slow down. Interest wanes for many reasons. In 3 days I will turn 73, and I must admit I just don't have the same level of drive I used to. My health is not as good. Constant fatigue, decreased sense of balance and less physical strength are part of the reasons I don't get out like I used to. A lot of guys I know have retained their physical and emotional drive to hunt far better than I have, which is great. However, since you are trying to get out a little more, good luck. Hunt till you get tired of it then go back to the house. If anybody got offended by your decision to hunt less, don't worry about it. Remember, we all go out with our bows to have fun. That is the primary reason we go, and only the individual can determine what is right. May your second wind fill your freezer.
