Bob Lee Cobra limbs vs Hardcore
« on: May 05, 2023, 10:31:56 AM »
In the market for a new bob lee but was wondering if anybody here has compared the new carbon limbs against fiber glass limbs of his other bows? Wondering if they are worth the extra cost.

Thanks

Amicus,

I have no experience with Bob Lee but I do know that years ago I had two different bows with carbon from two different bowyers and both made a ping sound that I could not get rid of. Other's told me the same thing. Those were the early carbons pre 2010.

About 4 years ago I acquired a carbon limb bow once again and NO ping, and very quiet.  Then about 2 years ago I acquired another and same thing.

I think they would be very beneficial for lighter weight bows because they do create more energy.

Again, I have no experience with Bob Lee.

I see you're a contributing member, there is a great deal on the classifieds for a nice looking hard core. Thier bows are getting expensive for a brand new one.

Ive heard that the new carbon limbs are very quite and fast. Also that I could drop 5lbs and still get the same performance.

The hardcore is no slouch but I would like to try the carbons if all that I hear is true.

Is it worth the added cost to get limbs that will be quite a bit faster?  Only you can decide.  Supercurve limbs will have a different draw force curve.  Some like it, some don’t.
