My daughter and son in law just bought a house south of Princeton, Mn. Any Trad Gang members from that area?

Hello I live in Elk River just 15 miles south of them. Do either of them shoot Traditional? Where did they move from? If they are looking for a Traditional shoot Rapids Achery has there's on June 14 -15 this year. Cambridge Sportsman Club useally has one also that is about 20 miles east of them.

We all shoot longbows and recurves it's in the blood.  Where do we get together to shoot.  My husband says there is a lot of public land in the area.  How much pressure hunting pressure does Sherburne get? it is just a couple of mile down 42 from us.

i live in maple grove which is about 45 min south east towards the cities, but i hunt that neck of the woods. sherburne is nice because it is so big you can get away from people if you want. kunkel wma is also really nice. i hunted turkeys there  this year. you can't hunt turkeys in sherburne. sand dunes state forest is also right there.

I live in Brooklyn Park, MN. and spend many weekends with friends in North Branch, MN. just eat of Princeton. Would be nice to get together and shoot? Not sure where.
As far as most public land in Minnesota I'm sure the Sherburne land can get hit hard. Make sure you can actually hunt the land you are talking about as I know a lot of the "public" land in that area is actually not open for hunting.

I also live in Big Lake, and hunt sherburne. I hunt Sand Dunes state forest, and pressure is varied. Seems to be more like a specific pull in rather than the whole woods. Last season was very light. Took two bucks, a 5-point and an 8-point. also took a 7-point two years ago. Does get alot during shotgun season though.

I belong to the freinds group out at Sherburne. It is big and you can find plenty of area to hunt. It does not get much bowhunting pressure but during the gun season it gets very busy. I bowhunted it alot before I started hnuting with my buddy up north.
