New hawk helium sticks

I have a little older set of hawks the straps have the buckles on them they are ok just have to be careful due to noise. Bought new set and no buckles but it has the loops built into the straps, not sure how well this is wondering if anyone uses those straps or have modified them with rope and what's your opinions on each way thanks...

I put rope on mine. Quiet and lighter but harder to tighten. Easier to work when it cold. My sons best friend uses the loop system and likes it.

Yes loops is an improvement
Mine have buckles but I’m changing that for next year

I have some old ones and new ones. The loops are nice and light but the don't hold the step as tight to the tree. They tend to pull away some when climbing.

I took the straps off right away and went with amsteel. I did the same with my Predator platform. Lighter, quieter, adjusts nicely.
Good luck!
