single arrow quivers
« on: December 24, 2022, 02:23:19 PM »
I'm going to try posting this again.  I was trying to find a way to carry a judo point arrow hunting without putting it in my quiver.  Most of the one arrow quivers I've seen were for broadheads.   I decided to try making one with some multi-layered leather.   I came up with this, and it works quite well.

I guess you could do it as just a slide on but I slotted it and used a rubber o-ring as a lock.

I like it. I've been working on a single arrow quiver as well. I want to be able to carry any arrow (broadhead, judo, hex head, field point) interchangeably and I want to use it on any of my bows.

I've taken a piggy backer, cut it in half and mounted it to a leather strap which is tied to the limbs with leather thongs.

I'm still working out a few kinks but I think it's going to work.

I'll try to post some pics when I get them finished.

I've seen something along that idea of tie-ing it on, but the ones I saw didn't leave enough room for my hand between the arrow and the bow.

I think using that stiff rubber like Selway has would work better but I didn't know where to find it.

That's one of the kinks I'm working out. I had the same problem with my first attempt.

Thats a great hack!  Really like the O ring quick release

I made something similar using bits and pieces, with sticky back Velcro.

If anyone just wants to carry a judo on the bow it's simple Simon. Just call Don at Eagles Flight and just order two single arrow grippers.

Originally I did that, and it worked OK.  I just wanted a system that was simpler, and cheaper.   :goldtooth:

Too funny BAK, I didn't think a single arrow quiver would be non-simple.  :goldtooth:

If you look at them they are made up with about 10 different pieces including buckles and screws.
