Osage, Osage, drool, drool
« on: May 10, 2008, 01:06:00 PM »
My buddy George(G on the Trad Gang) has a knack for finding special osage. He has given me a bunch of osage burls for nock overlays and rests. He brought this by today, highly figured osage root from a long dead tree. I have never seen anything like it. He is going to turn bowls from it. I told him to save me any scraps he cuts off so I can use them for nock overlays.

Wow!! that is something else, I had been wondering if there was such a thing as burled osage.
She said " did you see that?" He said "Of course!!!" She said " Why did you step in it then?"

From what I've seen of Eric's craftsmanship there will be some real beautiful bows in the near future.

I'd like to see a riser made of that stuff.
