Just How Fast Can a Deer Drop?

Seems like whenever I intentionally aim low, I usually miss low or just clip the brisket. My thought process has went back to just aiming for where I want the arrow to go and if they happen to duck and I miss high then so be it. I think basinboy's situation was just bad luck, that deer had really no reason to be that wired other than maybe the bait?
