I had the same thing happen on a bow I designed I solved the problem by using one reverse taper on one of the lams and got one of the best shooting bows I have ever shot very fast and smooth completely stabil .
What was the draw weight and draw length on that reverse taper set of limbs? I’d love to see the shape of your limbs mounted on a riser.
Often times I’ve used a reverse taper on lighter draw weight bows to get more meat at the base of the hook on a static tip RC design. Same bow was great with a forward taper of .001 over about 44#…. Then I use a park down to 40#, and reverse for anything lower. Once those limbs got below .190 at the base of the curl, they were really sensitive to perfect alignment, and would easily go sideways.
