The fist bow i posted is the one i have in stock, that needs a home.

This one is the last two piece i built not long ago. I only build these by special request now. There were a copula threads on it posted awhile ago. This one had some extra bells and whistles using G-10 for added mass weight, and some carbon backing for a bit more horse power.

Very nice craftmanship on that one.

I had some of my 2 piece bows built that way.Brass and steel sleeve.Smaller sleeve and grip built up into a locator.

Is that a D shape bow strungup?

If you click on the links I provided above there are photos of the bow strung and unstrung. Yes… it’s a D shape strung up…. But… these things have a wee bit more preload at brace than many D shaped long bows have. This eliminates all hand shock, and gives them considerably higher performance than the straight ASL style.

I build a lot of these in a one piece from 62” - 66” . There are two different styles too. The “Flatliner”, and the “Stealth” . Please check out my website for more details….

My wait time on custom bows is only 90-120 days right now….

I have a Stealth #001, sweet bow. Same limb profile as the flatliner but riser is different, Maybe Kirk can post a pic as my bow is out on loaner.

I’ve looked at the Stealth bows a couple times. Sure are sweet looking bows.

Building this D shape design in a 58" is something i've never done before Terry.... I've never had a request for one that short....62" is the shortest i've built to date.

But....... The riser length on the Flatliner and the Stealth designs are both  20" fade tip to fade tip on the 62" -66" length, then i extend the fades further with a power lam to get her bending where i want it.

In order to go down to 58" i would have to shorten the riser to 16"-18" to keep the limb dynamics the same..... So yes.... I suppose i could build one for you at 58".

The only thing that i forsee is the steeper angle belly ramps on the riser  would alter the looks a bit. It would look more like the stealth design here than the Flatliner with the glass coming down to just above the Shelf.

Here are a bunch of build photos in this album for the "Stealth" design.

Actually the shape of the riser wont change that much at all.

Here is what the 16" riser fades would look like.

Of course the wrist angle can be shaped at what ever angle you want from straight to locator style,  and it will be balanced to the pressure point you are applying to it.

I'd love to see a photo of that aged Bocote.  The stuff is getting hard to find in my neck of the woods any more. it's all special order material now.

Thanks,   Kirk
