I've always used Trueflights, but I think the next feathers I buy will be AMGs from Joe Skipp. Heard nothing but good things about them, including the price. Not to mention, Joe is one heck of a good guy.

My experience with Gateway's is that they don't seem to be ground as close to the base as Trueflights are. But either one works fine for me. Generally it's just a matter of the best buy or what's at hand.

I use both for different reasons.
Trueflight has a better barred feather.
Gateway has the camo feather.
Gateway chops better for me due to the narrower base.
For solid colors I prefer Gateway but will use whatever I have to hand.

I normally use Trueflight but may try some AMG with all the good things I have been hearing about them.

TrueFlight have been my favorite for years, Gateway left much to be desired regarding quality, and were much better in the mid to early eighties.

I have tried AMG on the last four dozen arrows, they are less expensive(at least for now)and are at least as good as TrueFlight!

The Gateway's I've tried had such a high base that you really had to put a glob of glue at the leading edge. They would really tear up a rug rest.

The very best feathers I have ever used were some I picked up from "The Nocking Point" at Compton last year.  They were ground perfect!  I am not sure where he gets them, but they are awesome.

Gateway's & Trueflight's since early 60s, and AMG the last 2 or so years.  I really like the fluorescent colors of the AMGs, and the price. I get them from Bob Hildenbrand Archery.  Bill G.
