Wraps overlap
« on: May 04, 2023, 06:37:45 PM »
Silly question maybe.   I have the gt trad classic xt’s. Smaller O.D.    The wraps may overlap quite a bit.  Has this brought up any issues?  I’d wrap a few to bare shaft them first chance.

Not on my arrows.

I order from Onestringer and usually pick a size up from their guidance chart. I like the idea of a small overlay. If your just buying them as a 'standard' size from a retailer you probably will get a much larger overlay so I can't say if that wouldn't cause a problem or not.

My recommendation is look at the Onestringer wraps and chart. They are a sponsor here and very nice people to deal with.

For the smaller diameter Goldtip Trad Classics, you will want a 0.95” arrow wrap. It will give you just the right amount of overlap.  The overlap won’t affect anything.  As you’ve heard already, Onestringer makes great wraps. Their website can be found in the TradGang sponsor list on the top of the page.

Yes on the Onestringer.  I've been buying those for years!

I pretty much buy one size that will fit most all my arrows.  If the overlap seems too much on some arrows, I just cut them.
I use a straight edge and a sharp Exacto-knife and cut them to the correct width. Easy-peasy.
