DIY Edge Sander
« on: May 08, 2023, 01:29:23 PM »
Does anyone have good plans for an edge sander? I picked up an old bandsaw for the large motor, and want to build an edge sander to toss it on. I have some ideas, but mainly want to check first before diving in blind.

Look up Mathis Wendell on U tube. He has a lot of different build plans.

I did just find his belt sander plans and was trying to adapt. In the meantime, I came across a magazine article from the early 2000s on a diy edge sander that’s excellently laid out.

Somehow I’m a collector of magazines from old guys that’ve passed. Forgot I had ~200 woodworking mags with plans in them. Also have every traditional bowhunter magazine acquired the same way, from a different fella. Just take up space until they’re helpful lol. Thank you!
