Anyone have any info on build kits from Bingham Projects?
« on: May 28, 2023, 06:07:22 PM »
Sorry if I overlooked in the build along forums but did not see anything specific for a Bingham 1 piece Longbow. Would love to build my own but not have to source my own lam’s n such. I gave up on a self bow and still have a diy itch I need to scratch. I would like a hunt worthy bow built by my hand n sweat. Thanks in advance for any info.

Johnnyba, I see that you are in Georgia.. if you are ever near Albany, you can always stop in and pick out some materials for a build. I am happy to help you decide what you need as well. Of course, you can do this on line as well.

Hey Jim, I am in lune to get a bow from you, the best bet. I just wanted to try my hand building something by my hand. U are a bit too far from me for a visit, plus held down here in caregiving role.
Thanks for offer, would love to be closer, I would have applied to be your helper. Take care and can’t wait for decision making time with your build, Buffalo, Monarch, or Thunder Chold?🤔

Yes, that's what they told me.

However, they were a Sponsor for years and have been in buiz a long time and do have a following for sure.

They told me they didn't want to renew as they were retiring.  So, you might give them a call pretty soon to see if you can still get a kit from them.

Yeah, I hope to get 'down there' sometime and visit Jim's place.

IF I could even make it a consideration to go down to Albany, I would need the flexibility to drive down, maybe camp, then spend the next day at Jim’s, camp again, then home the next day. I, as you know, just cannot go more than my “dog walking
Hour an a half” with care giver duties and 3 dogs. I just gotta decide what I really need/want. I am not bow poor, for sure.

One day maybe…… On another note, going to thin the herd, going through and checking which I like or not and then go selling. I tried to get it done prior to St Jude’s auction but did not make it, if I dont sell I will put them up next year. Lots of great practice, 3D, hunting, and beginners bows. Most are take downs and 3 have multiple limbs, long and recurve, ILF risers and limbs as well. All in the 40-50# @ 28 range with some lower poundage limbs too.
